About Us
Our experts have extensive experience in the field of electrical installations and construction projects. In 1985, they decided to capitalize on this expertise and build on their long-term cooperation which, in 1996, resulted in the creation of the company EKVA, s. r. o., specializing in:
- comprehensive preparation of construction and electrical project documentation, preparation of studies and lighting designs or lighting calculations in accordance with the relevant standards in force, or, where appropriate, with architects’ instructions
- arranging for grid connections to feed in power, regardless of voltage, with relevant authorities and distribution companies, including the supply and installation of a transformer station as well as low-voltage extensions
- controlling the intensity of certain types of lighting in relation to outdoor light
- electrical installations – heavy-current and light-current distributions, UPS, EPS, EZS, STA
- the sale of lighting and electrical products
2007
The owners of Ekva, s. r. o., set up another company, SUNNYWATT CZ, s. r. o., specializing solely in photovoltaic (PV) systems. Until that time, commissions had been managed by Ekva, s. r. o. (market research, preparation of the first commissions, delivery and testing of panels and inverters). In 2007, the first solar power plant was constructed and SUNNYWATT CZ, s. r. o., began cooperation with the Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT) on the design and installation of renewable energy systems. The company also first took part in a trade fair (For Arch 2007) under the brand name Sunnywatt.
2008
The branch in Litoměřice and another branch named Alhambra in central Prague (Náměstí Míru) were opened. In July 2008, the construction of a PV power plant Impera I (in Hovorčovice) on an assembly hall was started. In the autumn of 2008, a PV power plant in Palestine was constructed.
2009
The power plant Impera II was constructed and a new branch in České Budějovice was opened. Autumn 2009 – installation of the Bethlehem Star at Bethlehem Square in Jerusalem.
Our company publishes its experience, particularly in technical journals like Světlo (Light) and Elektro, and we take part in professional seminars, exhibitions and conferences on a regular basis.
